Bought my first ever Land Rover in April 2024. It is a 2022 Discovery D300 dynamic, 7 seater. Not the type of vehicle I would normally buy. Unfortunate circumstance led to the opportunity to buy.
I am approaching my 70th year. None of us know how much time in good health we have left, have always liked the look of this model, so took the plunge.
Did quite a lot researching prior to purchase. The plan is this vehicle will see me out. When it's out of warranty plan to carry out all maintenance myself.
I live in North Devon. Purchased from a main dealer, they give a half day off road experience, which I have yet to arrange. So far the car has exceeded expectations. Can't believe the fuel consumption but have confirmed with spreadsheet 40 plus mpg. It's also the first automatic I've had in 35 years, the first was a Granada 2.8 x pack estate. Prior to retirement I worked for a 1st tier supplier to auto industry, as a manufacturing engineer involved in the remanufactured side of the company, in braking and steering.
