watch the fuel pump.
had ours go while in France.
had to fly back home since no dealer could take it to repair.

Hi

Could not agree more. this is an illness of the Disco 5 no matter the model year. Wed on't hear about those on the Defender.
we had ours also replaced- through insurance- but def. were lucky the dealer found one on stock-
happened before summer too.

Reaplacement is holding well so far (<1yr)

Did ours in may at local LR specialist went for about 1600Gbp- inc VAT Stockholm- Sweden.

It's timing belt.
change every 7 years or 182k km, whichever comes first.

hi Digman,

You can put your car in recovery / tow mode by opening the bonnet, popping out the engine cover.
There you should find a lever to pull from . this will release the parking brake

Hi,

It sounds odd.
If it is form a main dealer, you may ask him a printout of the order form with all listed options on the vehicle from factory.
that way you may be able to spot if something looks weird.

Hi,

What was the cause of seizure? Agree, not that many reports of seizure in this form for the Inline 6 (I presume this is the engine you have).
